Yesterday’s honking Northerly blew itself out this morning as competitors were only able to complete a handful of races.
RC Chair Dr. Robin Wallace sent the competitors back to NYYC’s Harbour Court at 11:15 in hopes for a 1-2 p.m. seabreeze he has been tracking in Block Island Sound.
In the racing New Zealand’s Osbourne took a two-foot victory from behind over France’s Le Berre, with both coming in on port jibe to the finishing pin. Other races were this close and the rest with 1/2 a leg leads where small momentum gains and some current relief under Rose Island gave Greece a big win over the Dutch.
As the competitors filter in, the same group of ten looks to finish their round and there will likely be a large rotation mid-afternoon.
